Irony

I abhor the incorrect use of the word irony. This is irony:

Irony n. expression of meaning by use of words normally conveying opposite meaning; apparent perversity of fate or circumstances.

This is irony:

[When the weather is cold, wet and miserable] “Lovely weather today.”

This is irony.
