Turned on the BBC news, was watching it through lunch when some press coverage of Prince Charles’s holiday in Klosters, Switzerland turned into a rather amusing impromptu interview. After BBC royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell asked how Charles was feeling in regard to the much publicised wedding between him and Camilla Parker Bowles, he let his true feelings about the situation known to sons William and Harry, muttering under his breath:
“Bloody people. I can’t bear that man anyway. He’s so awful, he really is.”
News inevitably travels fast, and already there are pages from the big news corporations appearing on the internet. However I think they overlook the point that this isn’t an attack on the press - “Charles attacks ‘bloody press’ in microphone gaffe” - it was specifically directed towards Nicholas Witchell. Poor chap, after the interview slot was over he had to comment on Charles’s outburst to the presenter, you could tell he was taken aback but handled it very well. Press Peeved at Prince Charles you could say.

Prince charles is an adulterer and as such is not fit to become king of England. His ugly wife, an adulteress is not fit to become queen of England.
The royal family who seem to think they deserve something more than the general population if this country should be removed from any privilege and all monies and property they have gained from such privilege redistributed back to the people.
Make England a Republic.
Long live the Republic.

Well, a lot of their property is opened to the public anyway. A lot of it is also owned by the National Trust. Monarchs have a long history of being less than scrupulous–indeed some of the best plays by Shakespeare are about their indiscretions. To that point a lot of politicians have done a lot worse.
The amount of true power the monarchy have is up for debate. However, I do question whether I myself would bow to the Queen. I’d probably do so out of respect, in a similar fashion to taking off my shoes when entering a mosque.
I don’t think they’re doing any harm, or specifically, that a republic wouldn’t be much better.
